Gabion Baskets
Material
- Steel wire mesh, spot-welded from 4 mm wire, high basket stability
- Mesh size 5x10cm, smaller infill formats possible, more filigree design as compared to larger mesh sizes, high grating stability
- Connection helices, simple assembly without special tools
- Galvanized steel, highly anti-corrosive
Simple assembly
- by turning the helices into the grating edges (no special tools required)
- Multiple gabions can be laced side by side or one upon the other and connected with helices.
Infill
- Natural stone (supply: stone pits, gravel pits, specialized shops, DIY stores), granite cubes, quarry stone, wood, etc.
- In order to save filling and weight for merely decorative gabions, you can insert a Styrofoam core (e.g. insulating material from a building material supplier) in the center of the basket.
Use
- Boundaries (garden walls, fences, in combination with board on board elements)
- Retaining walls between high areas (mind the statics)
- Garden design in combination with installed illumination elements
- Bench or wall bench with wooden rest
- Base for a table or bar (exterior or interior use)
- Basic construction for raised flower beds, raised ponds or climbing plants
